El Vaquero
It was the Spaniards who introduced the horse to the North American continent, and later cattle also, along with the skills to work them. El Vaquero is a tribute to that legacy, and the stories, poems, songs, trails and spirit of what has later become American Western lore.
The spacious room on the second floor of The Grand Lodge has a commanding view from the highest point of the property and Fayette County. It offers a King-size, pillow-top bed and study center. Curl up with your journal or sketchbook while you drink up the beauty of the rural landscape amidst relics that speak of earliest Texas cowboys - the Spanish Vaqueros.
This room has access to the large second floor bathroom with a shower, shared with the room next door, La Cabana & The Loft, in addition to the downstairs Powder Room.
